Tuesday, 17th of Tammuz, 5774

Tuesday is the seventh day of Week 41 and the forty-second day of the cycle of Yesod (Foundation), Malchut shebeYesod shebeYesod, Kingship within Foundation within Foundation.

Tuesday is also the first day of the fourteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Nun Sofit (the final Nun). The following verse from Chapter 3 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the first letter, the Aleph:

1. How dim the gold has become, [how] changed is the fine gold jewelry! The holy stones are scattered at the head of every street.

This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:

1. How could gold become darkened? How could fine jewelry change? [They do not. Even when] holy stones are poured out, they [remain] at the head of every street.
