Thursday is the second day of Week 42 and the forty-fourth day of the cycle of Yesod (Foundation), Gevurah shebeMalchut shebeYesod, Might/Discipline within Foundation within Foundation.
Thursday is also the third day of the fourteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Nun Sofit (the final Nun). The following verse from Chapter 3 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the third letter, the Gimmel:
3. Even the sea-monsters offer the breast [and] suckle their young; the daughter of my people has become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.
ג. גַּם תַּנִּים חָלְצוּ שַׁד הֵינִיקוּ גּוּרֵיהֶן בַּת עַמִּי לְאַכְזָר כַּיְעֵנִים בַּמִּדְבָּר:
This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:
3. Even the sea-monsters offer the breast [and] suckle their young; [the difference] between the daughter of my people and the cruel, is like that of the ostriches in the wilderness.
2. The precious children of Zion, praised with fine gold; how they are regarded as earthen pitchers, the work of a potter's hands!
ב. בְּנֵי צִיּוֹן הַיְקָרִים הַמְסֻלָּאִים בַּפָּז אֵיכָה נֶחְשְׁבוּ לְנִבְלֵי חֶרֶשׂ מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי יוֹצֵר:
