Sunday, 22nd of Tammuz, 5774

Sunday is the fifth day of Week 42 and the forty-seventh day of the cycle of Yesod (Foundation), Hod shebeMalchut shebeYesod, Glory/Acknowledgement within Kingship within Foundation.

Sunday is also the sixth day of the fourteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Nun Sofit (the final Nun). The following verse from Chapter 3 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the sixth letter, the Vav:

6. The iniquity of my people is greater than the sin of Sodom, which was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands fell on her.

ו. וַיִּגְדַּל עֲוֹן בַּת עַמִּי מֵחַטַּאת סְדֹם הַהֲפוּכָה כְמוֹ רָגַע וְלֹא חָלוּ בָהּ יָדָיִם:

This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:

6. And it grew. The iniquity of my people [compared] to the sin of Sodom is the opposite. It is like a brief moment, and no hands were involved in it.
