Thursday, 26th of Tammuz, 5774

Thursday is the second day of Week 43 and the second day of the cycle of Malchut (Kingship), Gevurah shebeChesed shebeMalchut, Might/Discipline within Kindness within Kingship. This week also represents the "Shavuot" and "Shivah Yemei Miluim" of the cycle of Yesod (Foundation).

Thursday is also the tenth day of the fourteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Nun Sofit (the final Nun). The following verse from Chapter 3 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the tenth letter, the Yud:

10. The hands of compassionate women boiled their own children; they have become their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people.

י. יְדֵי נָשִׁים רַחֲמָנִיּוֹת בִּשְּׁלוּ יַלְדֵיהֶן הָיוּ לְבָרוֹת לָמוֹ בְּשֶׁבֶר בַּת עַמִּי:

This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:

10. The hands of women are compassionate, in that their children were His (Sheloh). They have become their food in the destruction [inflicted by] the daughter of my people.
