Sunday, 7th of Av, 5774

Sunday is the fifth day of Week 44 and the twelfth day of the cycle of Malchut (Kingship), Hod shebeGevurah shebeMalchut, Glory/Acknowledgement within Might/Discipline within Kingship.

Sunday is also the twentieth day of the fourteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Nun Sofit (the final Nun). The following verse (19) from Chapter 3 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the twentieth letter, the Reish:

20. The breath of our nostrils, the Lord's anointed, was captured in their pits, of whom we had said, "Under his protection we shall live among the nations."

This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:

20. The breath of our nostrils is the Lord's anointed. Captured in their corruption was [the leader of the nations,] the one we had said, "Under his protection we shall live among the nations."
