Sunday, 21st of Av, 5774

Sunday is the fifth day of Week 46 and the twenty-sixth day of the cycle of Malchut (Kingship), Hod shebeNetzach shebeMalchut, Glory/Acknowledgement within Victory/Endurance within Kingship.

Sunday is also the twelfth day of the fifteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Peh Sofit (the final Peh). Although this chapter also has 22 verses, it is not openly an acrostic. However, there is a way to rearrange the verses. The following verse (20) from Chapter 5 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the twelfth letter, the Lamed:

20. Why do You forget us forever, forsake us so long?

כ. לָמָּה לָנֶצַח תִּשְׁכָּחֵנוּ תַּעַזְבֵנוּ לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִים:

This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:

20. Why? Because You  [stay by our side] forever. Forget us? Forsake us? [No, rather] it is for the length of days.

Obs: Chapter 5 of Lamentations works as an acrostic if you take the three verses that begin with 'Al, עַל , and apply them as above for the letter Gimmel, Dalet and Samech. Furthermore, for the letter Tet, take the first letter of the second word in verse 13. Also, for those verses for which the first letter appears in more than one verse, use only one verse and take the second letter of the remaining verses.
