Friday, 12th of Av and Shabat 13th of Av, 5774

Friday is the third day of Week 45 and the seventeenth day of the cycle of Malchut (Kingship), Tiferet shebeTiferet shebeMalchut, Balance/Beauty within Balance/Beauty within Kingship.

Friday is also the third day of the fifteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Peh Sofit (the final Peh). Although this chapter also has 22 verses, it is not openly an acrostic. However, there is a way to rearrange the verses. The following verse (5) from Chapter 5 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the third letter, the Gimmel:

5. We are pursued [with a yoke] on our necks; we toil but it does not remain with us.

ה. עַל צַוָּארֵנוּ נִרְדָּפְנוּ יָגַעְנוּ וְלֹא הוּנַּח לָנוּ:

This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:

Shabat is the fourth day of Week 45 and the eighteenth day of the cycle of Malchut (Kingship), Netzach shebeTiferet shebeMalchut, Victory/Endurance within Balance/Beauty within Kingship.

Shabat is also the fourth day of the fifteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Peh Sofit (the final Peh). Although this chapter also has 22 verses, it is not openly an acrostic. However, there is a way to rearrange the verses. The following verse (7) from Chapter 5 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the fourth letter, the Dalet:

17. For this our heart has become faint, for these things our eyes have grown dim.

יז. עַל זֶה הָיָה דָוֶה לִבֵּנוּ עַל אֵלֶּה חָשְׁכוּ עֵינֵינוּ:

Obs: Chapter 5 of Lamentations works as an acrostic if you take the three verses that begin with 'Al, עַל , and apply them as above for the letter Gimmel, Dalet and Samech. Also, for those verses for which the first letter appears in more than one verse, use only one verse and take the second letter of the remaining verses.
