Wednesday, 27th of Sivan, 5774

Wednesday is the first day of Week 39 and the twenty-second day of the cycle of Yesod (Foundation), Chesed shebeNetzach shebeYesod, Kindness within Victory/Endurance within Foundation.

Wednesday is also the third day of the thirteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Mem Sofit (the final Mem). The following verse from Chapter 3 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the third letter, the Gimmel:

9. He has walled up my roads with hewn stones, He has made my paths crooked.

ט. גָּדַר דְּרָכַי בְּגָזִית נְתִיבֹתַי עִוָּה:

This verse can be interpreted positively as follows:

9. He has fenced my roads with hewn stones, the paths of Avvah.

Avvah (spelled with an Alef) is a city of the Assyrians, to the north of Israel (II Kings 17:24). It may also be a reference to Gaza (עַזָּה), to the south, which has also been fenced.
