Wednesday is the first day of Week 44 and the eighth day of the cycle of Malchut (Kingship), Chesed shebeGevurah shebeMalchut, Kindness within Might/Discipline within Kingship.
Wednesday is also the sixteenth day of the fourteenth 22-day cycle of the year, related to the letter Nun Sofit (the final Nun). The following verse from Chapter 3 of the Book of Lamentations is connected to the sixteenth letter, the Ayin:
17. Our eyes still strained for our futile help; in our expectations we hoped for a nation that could not save [us].
This verse again can be interpreted positively as follows:
17. Were our eyes still strained? G-d (El) is our help. [The rest] is vanity. In our expectations, we hoped for G-d. A (mere) nation cannot save.
